Remote Deposit Capture
Remote Deposit Capture enables members to deposit checks into their credit union accounts using a mobile phone or tablet. The service is free to members. We no longer offer a desktop solution for remote deposit of checks.
Enrollment In The Service Is Easy
Simply login to your Greater Iowa Mobile app, or login through your mobile browser. You will find "Enroll in Remote Deposit" in the left hand menu under "Transactions." Once you accept the Terms and Conditions, enrollment will be complete.
Please be sure you provide your email address to Greater Iowa. Notifications regarding deposits, approvals and denials through Remote Deposit Capture are communicated through email. Double-check that the email address is valid or messages will not be delivered.
The next time you login, you will see a new menu item under Transactions called "Check Deposit" which will walk you through the process of obtaining images of the front and back of the check you wish to deposit. Please make sure to endorse the back of the check and write "Remote Deposit" underneath the signature before taking the check images.
If the deposit is made before 3 p.m. CST on a business day, funds will be available after 5 p.m. CST that same day. If the deposit is made after 3 p.m. CST, funds will be available after 5 p.m. CST the following business day. You should keep the check for at least 10 days to insure that the deposit was successful. Once you learn it is successful, you can keep or destroy, depending on your personal wishes. You do not have to deposit the paper check.
Single check amounts are limited based on your relationship with us. This is also true for your daily and monthly deposit amount limits. If you have questions, please call the contact center at 1.800.296.9064.
