Members of Greater Iowa Credit Union elected four members to serve on the volunteer board of directors at the credit union’s 82nd annual meeting on Saturday, February 8, 2014.
Max Porter of Ames, Donald Tebben of Ames, Michael Welter of Story City and Donald Wirth of Ames were elected to serve a 3-year term effective immediately. They were all incumbent candidates.
Tebben is a transportation engineer specialist for the Iowa Department of Transportation and will serve as board secretary. Porter is the President of Porter Engineering and University Professor Emeritus at Iowa State. Welter is a team leader for commercial building at Story Construction Company. Wirth is retired from Iowa Public Radio.
The Greater Iowa Credit Union board of directors consists of 11 members who oversee policies and the strategic direction of the credit union. The board directs the credit union according to fiduciary, state and federal regulatory responsibilities, and ensures that the financial needs and expectations of the credit union membership are addressed and met.
