This position is a Floating MSR position that will be located primarily out of our West Des Moines Branch 1630 22nd Street, West Des Moines, Iowa 50266.  While floating between our Des Moines Branches which our listed below.

East Des Moines: 600 East 30th St. Des Moines, IA 50317

Waukee: 1195 SE Alice's Road Waukee, IA 50263

Indianola: 301 East Scenic Valley Avenue Indianola, IA 50125

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-6:00PM, Saturday rotation 9:00AM-1:00PM


To provide credit union members with information on products and services in compliance with lending policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. Responsible for interviewing and evaluating applicants for various types of loans including processing and closing of such loan applications. Provide backup to account opening process and facilitate account resolution. Serve as an example for the service and sales standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist members with the loan application process. Interview loan applicant to gather information concerning their consumer loan needs, earnings, and financial condition. Review credit report for discrepancies.
- Complete application process by accurately loading applicant data into the automated underwriting system.  Establish terms and conditions, determine collateral need and payment plan, complete and process loan documentation and disburse loan upon notification of approval.

-Provide recommendations or alternative options to secure future lending requests.
-Identify and promote new loan and deposit products and services to achieve operational and strategic growth strategies.
-Greet and welcome members in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in person, by phone, via email or written correspondences.
-Support the member service representative and teller positions by exhibiting knowledge of opening deposit accounts, servicing existing accounts, processing financial transactions, and handling complex member account resolution matters.

Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and must maintain registration with NMLS as a registered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).

Experience:  Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education:  (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
