You should be highly suspicious when receiving messages—via phone, e-mail, text, or otherwise—directing you to provide personal, confidential, and/or account related information. Do not give out any personal information, including account numbers and expiration dates, without knowing with whom you are speaking, especially if the contact was unsolicited or unexpected.
