Greater Iowa's CEO appointed to Iowa Credit Union Review Board

    Scott Zahnle, president and CEO of Greater Iowa Credit Union, has been appointed to the Iowa Credit Union Review Board by Governor Terry Branstad. Zahnle's term on the board began May 1, 2013 and will be a three-year appointment. The review board serves as advisors to the governor and his staff on credit union policy issues and may adopt, amend and/or repeal rules or take other action as deemed necessary.

    Zahnle has served 14 months as Greater Iowa's CEO. Prior to his appointment last year, he was a senior vice president at IH-Mississippi Valley Credit Union in Moline, Illinois where he was directly responsible for information technology, card services, loan administration and the contact center. He holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University and a master of business administration from the University of Iowa.

    Zahnle is active in the Ames and central Iowa communities, including serving as a member of the Iowa Credit Union League Legislative Committee, the PSCU Strategic Advisory Group, the CoOportunity Health Care Advisory Committee the Ames Noon Rotary Club, the Ames Economic Development Commission, the Credit Union Executive Society and as a donor and volunteer to both the United Way of Story County and the United Way of Central Iowa.
