Wellness at Work Small Dollar Loan
We are proud to partner with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach on their Financial Wellness at Work program1 by offering the Wellness at Work Small Dollar Loan. This program is designed for Iowa State University faculty, staff, and postdocs who find themselves in need of a small loan to help them address a short-term financial situation. This low-interest loan is confidential and has no origination costs.
Iowa State University employment is required and a credit check is used to verify identity, residence, and bankruptcy status. If you are not already a member, you must establish a Greater Iowa Credit Union membership with a minimum $5 initial deposit before borrowing.

Application Process: Complete an application at a Greater Iowa Credit Union location. An in-person application is required. No credit score is used in the loan decision.

Approval and Delivery of Loan Funds: Same business day approval is typical and funds are usually available within 24 hours of approval. Funds can be deposited directly into an applicant’s account or a check can be drafted to a specific business (e.g. a car repair shop).
